Our journey began in Sarasota, Florida, in 1955, when brothers John and Chester Crowder set out to build a hardware brand centered on reliability and customer care. Just a year later, we expanded to Bradenton, which became our operational hub for years to come.

By the 1970s, Chester retired, traveling the country in his Airstream before settling in Texas. Meanwhile, John Crowder remained dedicated to innovation and marketing within the hardware industry, growing the business to eleven successful locations before his passing in 1988.

Over the decades, Crowder Bros. Hardware has evolved, expanding our family and locations while staying committed to the values that built our reputation. Today, as an ACE Hardware affiliate, we proudly serve customers at our St. Pete Beach and Spring Hill stores, providing the same trusted quality and service that started it all.
